Why should I choose your agency over another agency?
Surrogacy by Faith operates in a completely different way than any other agency out there. We are a Christian based company that involves God on a daily basis. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26

With God on our side, who can stand against us? Even though we are believers, not all journeys are easy but we have faith knowing we are doing God’s work. Because we want to make the matching process as stress free as possible for the patient parents, we complete the background check, psychological evaluation, drug tests and a home or Skype visit with all surrogates BEFORE they are able to be matched. This guarantees that we won’t set up a match, get everyone excited, to find out over the next month that the surrogate wasn’t able to pass all the requirements. There’s really no reason for this… Surrogacy by Faith takes pride knowing we have the best surrogates available that are ready to start immediately! Our hearts are in this for a loving reason, not a business reason. We are simply doing God’s work. We also believe that this circle of giving shouldn’t stop with our agency. Intended parents give to the surrogate, the surrogate gives to the intended parents and our agency gives 5% of the agency fees to any charity of the patient parents’ choice.

God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply, fill the Earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” Genesis 1:28

How long does all the testing and evaluations take before my surrogate profile goes live?
Once you have decided to join our agency, the whole process takes less than 30 days if your schedule allows for all the appointments.
How long does it take to be matched with patient parents?
Since our process at Surrogacy by Faith is different than every other agency out there, the matching process may take longer than a traditional agency. Southern California surrogates tend to get matched quicker than most surrogates. It is our hope that God provides a match within 4 months of completing the screening process.
Can I be a surrogate if I am a single parent?
Yes. We believe single mothers are just as capable of being surrogates as a woman who are married. If you are single, it is very important that you have some type of support system in place prior to committing to any surrogate program.
Can I be a surrogate if I don’t have health insurance?
Yes. If you do not have health insurance, a surrogate-specific medical plan may be purchased for you by the intended parents for the duration of your pregnancy.
If I do have health insurance, will it be used for the surrogacy?
Provided that your policy specifically and clearly states there is coverage for a surrogate pregnancy, your plan may be used with your consent. Your co-pays and deductible will be paid by the intended parents. Your portion of the premium will be reimbursed each month by the intended parents escrow account.
What if I am still overweight from my last pregnancy?
Being overweight does not necessarily disqualify you from being a surrogate. Generally, it’s best to have a BMI of 29 or under. The IVF physician that performs your medical evaluation will make this determination. If this is a concern for you, please call us and we can discuss this further.
Can I choose the individual or couple that I work with?
The decision to work with an individual or couple is mutually agreed upon by you and the other party. You will be presented with profiles of available intended parents that meet your criteria and you will choose who you would like to speak with. The relationship between you and the parent(s) you work with is of the utmost importance to us. We take the matching process very seriously and your role in this process is paramount.
Can I go to my own OB once I am pregnant?
Yes, provided that your OB accepts the health insurance plan being utilized for the pregnancy. Together, you and your intended parents will decide upon the physician that cares for you during pregnancy. Many surrogates return to the physician that delivered their own children for the surrogate pregnancy.
How are financial issues handled?
All funds related to your surrogacy will be held in an escrow account that is managed by an independent attorney or an experienced escrow company, so that all monies due for your surrogate fees and reimbursement of related expenses are timely paid. All financial matters will be handled by the agency, removing this component from your relationship with the intended parents.
Will there be any costs to me as a surrogate?
Initially, you may have expenses related to mailing your medical records, traveling to your testing and screening appointments and obtaining health insurance. Once you have been matched and contracts are in place, you will receive compensation to cover all related expenses.
Who pays for me to travel if I don’t live near the agency or the intended parents?
The intended parents that you are matched with will pay any traveling expenses related to your surrogacy.
Behold, children are a gift of The Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Psalm 127:3
